Coming form Iran and singing in Persian, the singer, poet and composer Aida Shahghasemi is currently based in the US where she continues to explore her cultural heritage in a respectful, but revealing way.

What’s special about Aida is her minimal style, which contrary to what you would expect – only broadens the amount of emotions, beauty and simply music contained in her songs.

She wrote the lyrics, played the piano and sung on her latest single “همه چیز تقسیر باد است”, perhaps one of the most beautiful songs to come out this year. Less is more rarely sounds so true.
