Alegría Rampante’s most recent single, “El recipiente / Tsunami”, marks the fourth time that the rock group has collaborated with audio-visual production house 9A5 Cine Crew, and the result is by far the most impactful and emotive video their collaboration has delivered.

Director William Rosario Cruz, working closely with band leader Eduardo Alegría and artist Ángel Flores, tell a gripping evolutionary tale of a being born out of the sea and his arrival at the ruins of civilization.

Flores gives weight to the titular character – “the recipient” (or “el recipiente”) – through elastic contortions and empty stares, slowly learning how to be. Alegría Rampante’s highly anticipated debut full-length is expected in the coming months.
