Canova is a young pop band from Milan. They built a solid reputation in their hometown by playing live thoughout different venues, and this summer they also have several dates elsewhere in Italy.
Their highlight so far was opening for DMA’s last May. They play simple but catchy pop music, with good melodies, a brilliant voice and a nice way to merge keyboards and acoustic guitar.
“Portovenere” is their first official release, and it perfectly showcases the band’s strenghts. Lyrics are an attempt to describe some small relationships dramas with a light hearted attitude.
If you speak Italian, pay attention to the video too, it’s about a guy dealing with girls and friends via Facebook chat and it’s quite funny.
An album is expected in Autumn, for now the band announced that the mix is finished.
