Psychedelic folk band Danpyunsun and the Sailors started as a solo project of Danpyunsun, a Seoul-based artist born in 1986. He was equally inspired by the local folk, Korean pop songs and Western indie music.

His band – also including the violinist Ji-Young Kwon Ji Young and Do-Hyuk Jang on percussion – seeks a “glocal” Asian sound adequate for the 21st century. Here’s their expressive new single, “공 Ball”.
