Eskimo

Eskimo is a folk singer whose first EP “Dancing Shadows” was released in June.

Taking her inspirations from Keiji Haino, Sonic Youth and Silver Mt. Zion, she goes through dark and melancholic experimentations, sounding like a pastoral kind of post-rock.

Often minimalist, the instrumentations let her powerful and beautiful voice resonate through space, like on one of the highlights “Lame Girl”, which opens on simple guitar notes and tambourine sounds.

After this mysterious intro, as cold as the islandic landscapes, the chorus appears like a shy but warming ray of light, putting a large smile on our face.
