We first met Baby Guru in beehype’s Best Albums of 2014 list a few months ago. The Athenian quartet return with a new EP called “Sunshine Special”, which includes “Glance”, a moving ballad that reveals again their incurably love for proto-electronica and pop melodies.

The song is shrouded in electric piano, while the sensitive voice of Prins Obi follows a steady, warm pulse. A mix of sweetness and sadness from an eccentric band that loves equally the raw power of rock and the most romantic side of great pop music.

The song comes up with two different remixes, by King Elephant and VGO. You should definitely check out King Elephant’s uptempo remake, it’s really adorable, challenging, but above all, funky.
