C+C=Maxigross

Guests of our Best of 2014, C+C=Maxigross are a young collective from the region of Lessinia who combine traditional folk with psychedelic jams, magical tales, and the best of Anglo-Americans inspirations.

Last November brought their second full-length album, “Fluttarn”, which features a range of guests but again shows their love for their local land, and even draws some titles from the Cimbrian language “imported to the Lessinia hills (…) in medieval times by germanic settlers.”

While you can stream the whole thing here, here’s “An Afternoon With Paul”, the first song we heard from this record and one that sticked to us immediately. Though it’s a clear homage to quite a different tradition – straight from Liverpool.
