In his new single “Dans La Radio”, the electronic producer Jacques Auberger jokes about singing for the first time, with all the irony he’s already known for.

“This is definitely the first time that I hear my voice outside of me… on the radio,” he sings. The title also refers to the Maison De La Radio in Paris, the headquarters of the French national public radio, where sounds included in the song have been recorded.

The infectious song was released on the label Pain Surprises. It’s accompanied by a no less funny video clip, which shows Jacques in weird situations in Bombay (nearly as absurd as his haircut), taking sunbaths on a beach of detritus and flying with a ceiling fan. Jacques’ craziness is still a breath of fresh air.
