Among the most intriguing albums to have come out of Scandinavia this year is “Meshes of Voice”, a live recording of 2009 collaboration between two Norwegian singers, composers, and lyricists – Jenny Hval (pictured right) and Susanna Wallumrød.

With thoroughly different voices and tempers they seem to be constantly negotiating the direction of their music, which makes it the more unpredictable and fascinating.
