Juçara Marçal

After having spent more than 20 years with bands like Barca, Vesper and Metá Metá, Juçara Marcal finally debuts solo at the age of 52. “Encarnado”, an album about fragility of life, is her collaboration with Kiko Dinucci, Rodrigo Campos and Romulo Froes, big names on Brazil’s new scene. They meld samba with guitars, ukulele (cavaquinho) and fiddle (rabeca), using original material and songs by Siba, Tom Zé, Gui Amabis and Itamar Assumpção.
