La Máquina Camaleön

One of the most exciting tracks from “Roja”, the debut album from Guapulo’s finest, La Máquina Camaleön is a lush, slow-simmering track.

It grows from minimal keys and drums that accompany the imagery of the lyrics to scorching, full blown shouting towards the end – courtesy of Guayaquilean Paola Navarrete.

The band’s debut album (and it’s outlandish music videos) have been met with warm reception in the local scene, and they are expected to release follow up album “Amarilla” later this year.

In April, they will be sharing a festival bill with North-Americans Brazilian Girls, Chile’s Los Tetas and Argentina’s El Mató a Un Policía Motorizado, who are also playing SXSW in Austin, Texas, this year. Definitely a band to keep an eye out for.
