Those who follow Puerto Rico’s independent music scene closely might recognize Héctor “Stonetape” Hernández as one of its secret weapons. The gifted producer is behind some of the most polished and beloved recordings of the past few years: Campo-Formio’s smashing debut LP “here comes…”, Tachdé’s brutal sign-off “Deluge”.

He is, however, a talented singer and composer as well, releasing stand-out tracks as part of the pop-duo fAi (already presented on beehype) and his own solo project, known simply as Stonetape. His second EP is due shortly, with lead single “The Sea” providing ample reason to get excited.
