Alternative outfit sub:shaman is probably one of the freshest and most inventive bands coming out of Singapore at the moment.
Infusing elements of progressive rock with bits of jazz and soul, the five-piece is difficult pin down, but their shape-shifting blend of math and groove is always compelling.
Taken off their freshly-pressed debut full-length LP entitled “Apnea”, their latest single ‘A-Hole’ is certainly of their most immediate and most intriguing compositions to date.
And best of all, the new track also comes along with a vivid and dream-like music video by director Christopher Fok. At once surreal and hilarious, the video deals with impressionistic creative process of Apnea’s cover artist Marc Gabriel Loh.
