Tel Avivian composer and singer Rotem Or didn’t know that “totemo” means “very” in Japanese whe she made up her monicker, but it was a fortunate choice.

Her recently released debut LP as Totemo, “Heavy as my Dreams”, is very intense, very mature and – in her own words – very flow-y. The album deals with expectations we have toward ourselves and unwanted pressure people put on us, but it will be hard for Totemo to avoid it after such a splendid record.
