When 'Airy Met Fairy

When ‘Airy Met Fairy is more than a band, it’s a fascinating project built around three musicians and filmmakers working together to create a melancholic and minimalistic world.

At the center of this project is the frontwoman and principal songwriter Thorunn Egilsdottir, raised between Luxembourg and Iceland. She is accompanied by Mike Koster (bass & moog) and Thomas Copier (drums).

They are strengthened by the fine works of Runa Egilsdottir (artwork, videos, production) and Raphael Kindig (video production) that give to the project a very unique identity.

“Love is abiding…” – we can her in one of the video clip “Intoxicated”. We witness the end of a love-hate relationship. A toxic love. Three minutes of a slow motion fight, where violence meets passion.

The band, founded in 2015 in Luxembourg, offers a soulful atmosphere mixed with some mesmerizing emotions. Thorunn Egilsdottir’s melancholic voice takes us through a pop and dark journey.

Through numerous festivals such as Iceland Airwaves, Eurosonic, The Great Escape, Reeperbahn Festival, Bars en Trans and two Japanese tours, When ‘Airy Met Fairy have gained experience and this year they released their first album, titled “Glow”.

While you can stream the trio’s debut on Spotify and Deezer, and watch their first video off this album called “Daughter” right here, below is their new magical clip for a short but beautiful song titled “1 2 3 magic”.
