Croatia is full of young talents.

Almost every week, a new talent pops up and often makes some impact on the national scene. Although Aklea Neon is just beginning – with only several singles and concerts behind – she has shown that she has a lot of ideas that are different from anything that’s been happening in Croatia.

As we can see on her still most-recent single “Pola puta” (eng. “Half Way”), Aklea combines a lot of different sounds to produce a new sound. In her songs, we can hear African rhythms, interesting vocal interpretations, a very characteristic voice and various sound effects (MIDI controller and looper).

All of that makes her songs seem both modern and rooted in folklores of the world.
