Beautiful ballad about finding out what someone really means to you in difficult times.
Anna Van Rij isn’t new in the Dutch music scene. She released music before as one half of The Visual (who made it to our best of 2019 list), but this year she started working on her own.
We’re not sure if the pandemic had anything to do with that, but her first single “Fall Into Place” feels like a perfect soundtrack to those long and sometimes lonely nights at home. It’s a beautifully composed ballad about finding out what someone really means to you in difficult times.
Somehow hearing Anna sing on a more sparse production perfectly enlarges the bittersweet message of the song. If you like the song as much as we do, you’ll be pleased to hear that Van Rij is currently recording more solo material while a new The Visual album is already on its way.
