A self-taught rapper/electronic musician, Aristophanes has earned reputation for her distinctive voice and dramatic flow compared with traditional rappers.

Being invited to join Grimes’ album “Art Angels” in the song “Scream”, Aristophanes (貍貓) has shown her great talent on verse flow with her energetic voice.

Her recent video, “As You Want”, is another proof that Aristophanes deserves attention from the music world. By combining lo-fi electronic elements with her rapping, the song explores human desire and loneliness in the modern city life.

In January, Aristophanes released a self-produced EP, “No Rush to Leave Dreams”, and is now touring worldwide. She has already been reported by “Rolling Stone”, “Vice”, “The Fader”, “i-D”, “Noisey”, Pitchfork” etc., and “Time Out” has listed her as top five artists to watch at SXSW 2016.
