Over the span of his 10-year career, Tigran Hamasyan has been no stranger to experimentation. It’s almost as though there’s no genre he won’t touch.
This year, Tigran has released two new albums: “Mockroot“, his first effort for Nonesuch Records, which combines his original songs with traditional Armenian melodies, and “Luys i Luso” on the very famous ECM.
Strangely enough, his latest video “Lament” brings back one of the most nostalgic moments of his 2013 full-length, “Shadow Theater”. The material was shot in Armenia in 2011, but apparently it needed a few years to ripen.
