Dunk is a super group formed by notable Italian musicians: Ettore and Marco Giuradei, Carmelo Pipitone, Luca Ferrari. Giuradei brothers bring a straight and effective songwriting, Pipitone his diverse and always colorful guitar sound and Ferrari his drumming variety. These skills are cleverly put together in a very good album.

This second album by Winter Dies In June is about a love story told backwards, so the first song represents the breakup, and the last one is the beginning. Musically, there’s a wide range of instruments and a clear shoegaze touch. The superior melodies and great execution ability by every musicians make this album intense and deep.

A double album with 22 songs for this band led by brothers Fabio and Michele Campetti. Their songs always had a cinematic touch, a noir atmosphere and nicely unconventional lyrics. Here, their trademark style is particularly on point, and these songs can definitely fill any listener’s heart, also thanks to an out of time sincerity.

Riccardo Sinigallia is a singer-songwriter-producer from Rome. This new album, is his most direct and impactful ever. Melodies don’t intentionally feature a high grade of refinement, and the sound is full of details and dynamics but overall slim, and the vocals are as significant and colorful as ever.
Lyrics are about personal situations and issues on life and society that no-one likes but sooner or later often show up. The merge of these elements work perfectly, and these nine songs are all strong and emotional.

Any Other is a musical project led by Adele Nigro. This is her second album, and it carries a widened style compared to the debut.
You can still hear the US indie from 90s inspiration, and there’s a similarity with contemporary female fronted project like Waxahatchee, Big Thief and Snail Mail. But there’s a jazzy flavor too, because a sax is often used but also because the whole arrangements structure has tempos and stop-and-go’s that can be related to jazz.
“Two, Geography” is a truly complete album, as it can amuse any kind of listening approach: you like it if you just listen thoughtlessly and also if you put a lot of attention on it. You can enjoy its intricacies and the profoundness of the lyrics, but you can do the same if you just care of how it sounds and flows.
