Ester Rada released her first EP in January 2013, while simultaneously carving out a succesful acting career. Almost immediately she became the new Israeli groove queen, with tremendous responses coming also from abroad.
Since then, she’s performed in Glastonbery and at SXSW, and her song “Life Happens” has been played by MTV and VH1.
Her new self-titled album is a blend of soul, funk, and music from Ethiopia – the place where she’s been born – and you can hear it in its entirety on her Bandcamp profile. Make some room for the next Erykah Badu.
