Dedicated to their cat, the song “Ärka” (meaning “Wake Up”) comes courtesy of Leikki, an Estonian ethno-electronic duo including Kaja Kaus (vocals, keys, sax, percussion) and DJ-producer Lauri Täht.

Their music draws samples from jazz and folk songs. Intertwined with hip hop, pop, indie and African rhythms their compositions compare to fine wine: pure yet complex, they have an enigmatic side that doesn’t give itself away instantly.

No component dominates over the other; folk elements reflect their roots and, especially true by “Ärka”, the sound lingers on in a positive way, lifting you up and setting the tone for the waking life.
