Contrary to the deserty imagery, Sahara’s music is neither austere nor monumental. Maybe a bit monotonous, but in the most lovely way thanks to Blandine Millepied’s nymph-like vocals and dreamy atmosphere.

The appropriately titled “Délice”, or “Delight”, is the Bordeaux quartet’s first single under the name Sahara (for a while, they performed as Calliopéia). But you will easily recognize the group’s members as experienced musicians, who perfectly find the right balance between poetic ambiguity and simple beauty.

You could say the same thing about their self-directed the video for “Délice”. It’s a mix of illustrations by the graphic designer Ludivine Martin, and kiss clips provided by the band’s friends from around the world. A “Delight” indeed.
