Autumn always starts with good news if the topic is music – it means new beautiful songs and pieces.

One of the good tunes of this autumn comes from Gaye Su Akyol and is called “Kendimden Kaçmaktan”, which means “Running Away from Myself”. This song is also announcing the second album of this remarkable singer, which will be released in on November 11th by Glitterbeat Records. Name of the upcoming album is “Hologram İmparatorluğu”, or “The Hologram Empire”.

Gaye Su Akyol seems like she is moving on her own way – this road was also created by herself – with the influence of Classical Turkish Music (or we can say Ottoman Palace Music). She develops it with a modern understanding but without distorting the essence of it – especially with her style of singing – since the very beginning of her career that started in 2014 with her debut album named “Develerle Yaşıyorum“.

When we talk about “Kendimden Kaçmaktan”, it seems that new record will be a bit more rhytmic and include more Middle Eastern ingredients compared to the elite core of Palace Music, but it is still very early to talk about the whole vision having heard just one song. Let’s wait and see!
