Formed almost 15 years ago, Hiperkarma is one of the most popular alternative bands in Hungary nowadays.
After a few years’ break this months they returned with a new album, “Konyharegény” (Kitchennovel). But the single “Senkitöbbet” (No More) has been written since 2003. It’s about the singer Robi Bérczesi’s darkest time of drug abuse – the reason for the band’s pause.
Robi is done with drug problems now, and Hiperkarma is back to everyone’s delight. Some put Robi among the best Hungarian songwriters of the 21st century. And to be honest, I can’t argue with that.
