Howie Lee is a producer/DJ from Beijing who produces experimental bass music whilst dabbling in multiple genres.

With nicely selected found sounds and field recordings, Howie Lee approaches his dancefloor-bass-driven beats with bombast that’s at once modern and uniquely Chinese.

His latest is a rework of Beijing hip hop legend Yin Ts’ang (隐藏)’s infamous street hit ‘In Beijing’. The influential rap group at its height in the early 2000s consisted of MC Webber (PRC), 老郑XIV (USA), Sbazzo (CAN) and Dirty Heff (USA).
