When musicians want to produce something fresh and be interesting to the audience they usually try to invent something, well, new. But mixing various instruments and genres not in all cases is the best idea.

Csaknekedkislány, a Budapest-based quartet, is a great example of “the simpler the better” thing. You needn’t to be a professional critics to enjoy their music. Just let your legs and arms move and forget about everything.

As they call themselves, they are a dance-band, which doesn’t mean that it their music is less danceable if you play them from your computer. So I will stop it here and let you click on the play button.

“Tihamy” comes from Csaknekedkislány’s new album, “Na Ná Ba Bám”, which you can stream in its entirety here.
