Zombori

The Hungarian folk culture is extremely rich. Thanks to music collectors such as Kodály and Bartók there are thousands of folk songs in the database. And those songs have had an audible effect on many pop musicians too.

Zombori is one of the best examples of the bands who use folk melodies. They published their first song in 2013 and they still are not well known in Hungary. But the audience is getting bigger with every concert due to the singer Zita Csordás’ suggestive personality, and the clever mix of folk, pop and rock.

Although they write their songs in Hungarian (“Egyedül vagyok” means “I’m Alone”), maybe it will actually help you feel their real spirit.
