Madboy/Mink

Saba Azad and Imaad Shah come together to form their swing/funk/disco/whatever-other-genre duo. When I watched them live initially, their live performances packed a better punch than the records, but on their second EP “UnionFarm” the duo seem to have found some balance, while also swaying between various genres.

In “Sharaabi”, their first Hindi song, Azad and Shah pay tribute to the classic disco sound made familiar to audiences in India thanks to Bollywood of the 80s. While it may not be the best song off the EP, it definitely is a sign of their range.

You can stream “UnionFarm” EP in its entirety on Bandcamp and Soundcloud.
