Polish rock/punk/avant quintet Javva is a band you’d like to book for your festival.
Javva is a quintet of experienced Polish musicians playing in a pretty new formula inspired by all varieties of music, from punk, psychedelia and avant-rock to African traditions, some other continents can be heard as well.
For their second album “Picaros”, released full 5 years after the debut, they employed a second drummer, so they’re pretty heavy in rhythm. But guitars, electronics and vocals/shouts add a catchy layer, so the single “Surv” (watch the video below) or the compact track “Cormoran” are almost radio friendly.
Yet there’s also a 9-minute title track with a guest saxophone player, which might take your memories back to the prog 1970s – or maybe take you to the future? All in all, “Picaros” is an adventure you can have in your own bedroom.
