Kinoko Teikoku

You can hear sorrow and hope coming through the feedback noise. “My teenage years were an irreplaceable time, which had been lost. I was like a dead girl. But playing music gave me the power to live again”, said the singer and guitarist Chiaki Sato (佐藤千亜妃) on a radio program.

All four members of Kinoko Teikoku(きのこ帝国)attended a university in Tokyo, and that’s where the band was formed. Both girls, Chiaki and Ah-chan (guitar), are fond of the trio Yura Yura Teikoku (ゆらゆら帝国).

Furthermore, Ah-chan was always wearing a poisonous-looking jacket and a mushroom-shaped hat. Combining these elements, they named the band Kinoko Teikoku – Mushroom Empire.
