Although the band is being marketed as Norwegian – founder Koen van de Wardt partially grew up in Norway – newly founded act Klangstof is actually mostly Dutch.
People from The Netherlands might even recognize some familiar faces; Klangstof is made up out of 3/4 of the members of Moss, a popular band that released some incredible records over the last decade.
Klangstof impressed us with their mesmerizing single “Hostage” a couple of months ago, but released two equally beautiful new tracks last week: “Island” and “Amansworld”.
“Island” is a moody and introspective ballad, while the addictive “Amansworld” feels more like a drugged out r&b jam.
We can’t wait to hear the rest of Klangstof’s debut record, which is supposed to be released later this year.
