КУКЛА

КУКЛА (aka Kukla) is influenced by the West and the East, so it doesn’t come as a surprise she’s a self-proclaimed Slavic gangsta geisha pop artist.

What an intriguing description! In translation КУКЛА is fusing stylistic influences as broad as Milošević-era Serbian female singers on one side with a nod to R&B goddesses of the Bush-era America on the other.

In her world, the playful electronic beats intertwine with the vocal melodies intensely influenced by folk music of the region. These two might be forming her recognizable sound but КУКЛА is also fond of exploring, which is again evident from her latest a capella video for the track “Kraj sveta” filmed in a church.

КУКЛА is also a video/film director and editor currently working with a new wave of artists in Slovenia and of course also directing her own videos, like for her latest single “Crne oči” (Black Eyes).

“Crne oči” is an announcement of the upcoming debut album “Greatest Hits EP” scheduled for October.
