Love, heartbreak, friends, human relations – most of issues the established Mexican band La Gusana Ciega deal with on their new LP, “Monarca”, might be nothing new in music.

But their approach to those ever up-to-date themes is fresh both in word and sound. The album, which you can hear in its entirety on YouTube, opens with this beautiful track called “San Miguel”.
