Loungerie II is a band from Bucharest that really stands out from the rest of the active bands on the scene.
That’s because they are all over the place. Quite literally. They describe their sound as being a combination of fusion-prog-jazz-indie-rock. That sounds pretty damn complicated. And indeed, it’s really hard to wrap your head around their past output.
Their new song “Strawberry”, however, produced by Horațiu Șerbănescu from IMPEX and Steaua de Mare, brings everything together into something that sounds as experimental as anything else, but also pretty easy on the ear.
There’s so much to love about this track. From the energetic post-rock intro to the really cool guitar riff that kicks in just after the middle part of the song. That just sounds hypnotic. But I think my favorite part is definitely the singers voice. Screaming never sounded this good.
