It still remains a mystery where exactly Megumi Wata（綿めぐみ）was born, but as far as we could confirm – it was in Hong Kong.

What we can say for sure is that Megumi loves anime (“Rurouni Kenshin”, “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon”), plays the flute, and works with the label Tokyo Recordings, which was founded by OBKR, a member of N.O.R.K. – introduced at beehype earlier.

Anyway, you won’t care much about all of these information when you hear the title single from Megumi’s debut album, “Sainan Dawa” (災難だわ). In clever words she satirizes Japan’s present condition, current electoral system, competitive society and other social issues, but she does it in her own relaxed tempo, with a tribal beat and a subtle charm.
