If there’s a contemporary artist who truly deserves her household fame, it would be the Mexican singer-songwriter Carla Morrison. What’s notable, she often uses her fame to promote up-and-coming artists.

Fortunately, she keeps writing her own music, and the recent single “Un Beso” shows her both more approachable and dramatic than ever before. Stomping drums and solemn organs make an unexpected background for Carla’s delicate voice. But this mixture works surpringly well, once again showing Carla’s infallible instinct.

“Un Beso”, or “A Kiss”, is the first single off Carla Morrison’s long awaited new album, “Amor Supremo”, which comes out Nov. 6.
