Odd Beholder

The first single off Odd Beholder’s upcoming debut full-length is simultaneously melancholic and charming.

Philosophical lyrics. Inspiring and fresh sounds. Music that describes in a different way what love is, and what sadness is.

After having played tours in countries like China, Germany, Switzerland and Italy, Daniela Weinmann teamed up with Swiss musician and producer Martin Schenker to finish producing Odd Beholder’s debut album.

This effort titled “All Reality Is Virtual” will be out later this year – precisely on October 19th – on German label Sinnbus and Switzerland’s Mouthwatering Records. The tenderly flowing track “Loneliness” is giving a first glimpse.

Listening to the lyrics might remind you of a quote by Elif Shafak, a Turkish writer that writes a lot about love and human relationships.

She says: “Loneliness and solitude are two different things. When you are lonely, it is easy to delude yourself into believing that you are on the right path. Solitude is better for us, as it means being alone without feeling lonely. But eventually it is best to find a person, the person who will be your mirror. Remember, only in another person’s heart can you truly see yourself and the presence of God within you.”
