Okudzhav

Moscow trio Окуджав (Okudzhav) sings mostly about sex and relationships on their highly praised debut album.

But their best – and, frankly, least shameful lyrically – song is about the world of adult people. Singers reflect about their fathers, alcoholism, awkward situations and their own maturity.

For some strange reason, Окуджав are often accociated with The xx and Wild Beasts, but their music is more dynamic and groovy.

Piano, christmas bells, refined guitar and catchy drum machine – “Vzroslye” (Adults) is one of the best Russian tunes of 2014.
