Industrial thriller that urges listeners to take to the streets and not stay home.
If there’s a band that has epitomized Georgian music at its rawest for more than thirty years, it’s Outsider, a seminal punk band from Kutaisi.
Active since the late 1980s and led by charismatic Robi Kukhianidze, the band’s recording output gradually transitioned from knife-sharp punk-rock beginnings to more idiosyncratic, stream-of-consciousness acoustic music.
Robi and the band have always been around and have promptly echoed the sentiments of the recent pro-European protests in Georgia, recording and releasing a brooding, industrial thriller that urges listeners to take to the streets and not stay home.
