The Facebook version of Datu’s new video “Suns” should break 70,000 views today, and it’s a fully deserved achievement for this unique clip mixing contemporary yet tribal-inspired music with an impressive choreography.

Datu themselves are dedicated to restoring music traditions of the Philippines. The trio tries to balance their local influences with the demands of a modern club.

While the members of Datu had already been established musicians, with “SUNS” they seem to have just started a very new chapter in their career. And the same can be hopefully said about the Filipino folkdance troupe HATAW spectacularly featured in the video.
