The Davao-based indie-folk outfit led by Thea Pitogo couldn’t get a better context for their new video – a story of a lesbian romance – than the ongoing discussion about the legalization of same-sex marriage in the US.

Those who’ve been following Thea for the last two years won’t be surprised by the fact she openly speaks about issues and emotions most people would rather not talk about in public.

But just like most of her heroes – from Bob Dylan to Simon & Garfunkel to Bon Iver – she conceals big issues into the form of inconspicuous folk songs.

Filmed by Aidx Paredes, the video is the first single off of Thea Pitogo’s second EP, “The Wise And The Wiser”, released this May. Hopefully the debut LP follows soon.
