Zzara, born Zara Beisembaeva, is a 26-year old singer-songwriter based in Kazakhstan’s largest city, Almaty. Extremely wide-ranging in her art, she’s able to produce straightforward R&B-influenced pop (check out “Girl in the Dark“, a song about her “inner world, at the time of deppression”, as she told us), only to jump into experimental electronic music a few minutes later.
