In 2017 minimalistic electro band MOMO made it official: They are absolutely nuts about fruits! So much so that the entire album revolves around fruits.

“What matters most to me in music is its soul. The essence, feel, vibe of the music,” says Konni Kass, singer, sax player and a big new talent from the Faroe Islands.

Steso aka Hergeir Staksberg and various friends enriched beehype last year with their excellent single, “Kav”. Now, almost a year on, new single “Mjørkabarn” (which could be translated as “Fogchild”) is out and it’s an equally brilliant piece of melancholic alternative pop by the Faroese collective.

Second album from Faroese seven-piece Marius Ziska (named after frontman and songwriter Hans Marius Weihe Ziska) is 50% alternative pop ‘n post-rock and 50% singer/songwriter alt-folk with lyrics in both English and Faroese – a combo turning out 100% awesome.

Steso is a collective from Tórshavn, the capital and the largest city of the Faroe Islands.

Greta Svabo Bech is a songstress from the Faroe Islands. Following a series of collaborations with (among others) Bloody Beetroots and Deadmau5 she’s begun releasing her own music with “Shut Up & Sing” a grand first synthpop taste.
