Pop salvaje – or wild pop – is what Protistas’ music is often called due to their cool, emotional sound and intense, trance-like performances. Created in 2008 in Santiago, the band has released two LPs and an EP mixing indie-rock with a subtle noise approach in some compositions.

Their third album, “Nefertiti”, has just come out and you can hear it on YouTube and Soundcloud. Here’s the first single, “En Mis Genes” – “In My Genes”.
