Neel and the Lightbulbs are a fresh breath of life from veteran Neel Adhikari. His constant urge to keep creating often bears fruit.

“Rewind” is off their debut album of the same name (buy here), which has been a long time coming – and hopefully there’s more coming up from them soon.

The group is more of a Kolkata supergroup, with Roheet Mukherjee and Ronodeep Bose of Ganesh Talkies (see our Best of 2014) on bass and guitar respectively and Avinash Chordia of The Supersonics on drums. What is pretty great to see if each of the members bringing their A game to the music.
