Filipino electronic producer Ryoku once again starts a new year with a collaboration with talented singer-songwriter Clara Benin.

The Manila duo inaugurated 2015 with a catchy track called “Windows Seat”. Their new single, “Here Comes The Feeling”, is above all a demonstration of self-restraint.

It’s telling that Ryoku (real name Richard Ken Matsuyama) shuts down the song one minute after it started, just to let Clara (read more about her in our December post) sing out her “Do you?” completely a capella.

Dreamy and nostalgic, cool but emotional, “Here Comes The Feeling” is also a perfect example of how real singer-producer partnership sounds like – which is when you’re unable to tell who put down the first note on the clean page.

We can only hope their New Year’s tradition continues.
