“Different species of fish swimming around, but together they make the ocean.”

About three years ago one Swedish producer visited one fishing village in Senegal to record improvisations of local musicians. Then he came back home and polished that precious material, still working with them remotely.

This year we finally heard the results of that mutual adventure which involved over 20 musicians, for whom African jazz, blues, avant-garde, dub and sufi songs are all like “different species of fish swimming around, but together they make the ocean”.
