Four years after her previous release, Irish/Egyptian singer Shaefri comes back bold on her new video, “Pixelate”.
Born in Mayo in western Ireland, the 22-year-old artist currently lives in London and the British capital is where she’s been working on a follow-up to her debut EP, “Venture”.
“Pixelate” is the first single and the title track off that upcoming new EP. If it’s a good indicator of what kind of sound she’s looking for right now, we can expect a collection of modern electronic pop with that little something that will reminds you about Shaefri’s Irish-Egyptian origin.
The single is accompanied by a quite dramatic video directed by London-based filmmaker and photographer Gundeep Anand. A 5-minute story of what miscellaneous constraints, both external and internal, can do to you, “Pixelate” also bring a clue on how to get rid of them.
