An all-star indie folk team of talents from Kaohsiung including singer-songwriter Elaine Tsai, electric guitar player from Kid King, bass player from Grey Youth, and drummer from Elephant Gym.
Shallow Levée is not a traditional folk rock band since their composition are focusing more on the environment surrounding our life. Their new single, “Excavator” (怪手), tells the story of Kaohsiung Industrial Area. With the unfair land acquisition and ecological damage, the so-called Formosa (beautiful island) has been destroyed by useless government and rich, evil companies.
Singing in Taiwanese, Shallow Levée (淺堤) demonstrates their true faith in the beloved country and hopes to make people care more about our living ground.
